Why I absolutely loved the “Hallelujah Challenge “

Hallelujah challenge

Hi Guys. I know! I know! There should have been a June recap but the one thing I can vividly recall doing last month was the Hallelujah challenge . If you weren’t a part of it, you miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiised. As in you missed, missed, missed. Yep! I have to rub it in ?.

I didn’t hear about it on time so I was a bit late in joining in and at first it seemed like a picture taking something as what I initially saw on Instagram was Hallelujah pose. And I was like Hmmmm! Me I don’t kukuma like posting pictures but thanks to Immanuel telling me about it and Amaka writing about it I was motivated ?. I followed Pastor Nathaniel on Instagram and I was motivated and sold.

Funny enough, when I heard it was a vigil something I wasn’t too happy ?. I had just finished a lengthy vigil and I was not forward to fighting sleep in the office again. However Beloved! The Hallelujah Challenge was worth losing sleep ten times over. I was blessed and over blessed. There was a personal revival. I felt (and still feel) my spirit leap with me and I was excited at the possibilities for this generation.

A generation for Christ. A generation that knows God. Can somebody shout Hallelujah! ?

Few days after I joined, I had encounters in the dream and God told me what the Hallelujah challenge was doing in the spiritual. This hinted me not to take it for granted and I needed no further motivation. One time I hit the 12 am alarm snooze button, dozed off and I can’t recall if I managed to connect to the live stream before dozing but suddenly at around 12:30am I heard the Holy Spirit tell me “Do you know angels came here 12am”. You needed to see the way I jumped up. Hian! My eyes cleared sharp sharp.

I didn’t have the courage to ask if the angels were still around lol. What this meant was that our praise session here on earth registered in Heaven. That 12am had been noted in heaven as a time of praise coming from some group of people on earth. Praise and worship is priceless to God.

Hallelujah challenge

Apart from the spiritual benefits, Beloved, that feeling of togetherness was unbeatable.

For the first time I understood what the early Church must have been like. United in purpose and touching heaven. Nothing like doctrine or Church as we know it. We were united in Jesus only. No judgement on hair or dressing or worship mode or songs or what have you.

That feeling of knowing you were in the midst of fellow believers was priceless. Imagine! Knowing that Me, Joan, Highly Favoured, Naijasinglegirl, Amaka, Immanuel, Ayo, Pastor Nathaniel and countless other people and celebrities were worshipping God at the same time and hour. Even Heather Lindsley showed up. Absolutely amazing. I later got to know that my friend’s wife also partook. None of this people and I have ever been in one spot at the same time, least of all worshipping but the Hallelujah challenge made it possible.

Another thing I loved about the Halleluyah challenge was the dedication and enthusiasm shown by our generation.

It shows what good leadership and the move of God can do for this generation. It shows endless possibilities of a generation on fire for Christ. A generation using social media positively, spearheading a revival that can reach into the uttermost corners of the earth. Beloved! a generation that can jettison sleep and ignore data costs of one hour for thirty days is a generation to watch out for ( In case you don’t know data costs in Nigeria ain’t cheap at all, nor is it especially reliable).

The possibilities of this revival for the gospel are endless. My eyes were opened to how we can spread the gospel online and how Social media can bring disenchanted youths into the Church and to know the love of Christ. Pastor Nathaniel always made an altar call at the close of the praise. Imagine people who may never have given their lives to Christ doing so in the privacy of their rooms.

Just like Joan wrote in this post, imagine people in Countries who shun or hate the gospel harnessing social media to worship God without fear of jail, death or victimisation.

Then there were the songs.

Gosh, don’t let me talk too much. Worship, praise and Thanksgiving just flowed. Here are two of my favorites.

This song makes my spirit leap.

Amazing right? Note how slightly different he sings the original version. “Gashina gamuna ” is a bit faster and not drawn out like we did during the Hallelujah challenge.

You can guess my song of the month.

Hmmmmm! Then there were the wise words of Pastor Nathaniel.

Some of which include “Don’t start anything without a word from God ” and countless others. Read more in Amaka’s post and follow his Instagram @Nathanielblow for more wise words and prophecies.

How can I forget the testimonies .

Amazing, soul lifting, heart warming testimonies. It’s not too late to read them from @nathanielblow.

And the Hallejah festival.

Hallelujah challenge

Finally, the lessons on God marketing 101 are unparrelelled .

When God announces you, you don’t need any promotion oh. Angels market your market for you. Hallelujah Challenge took over just like that. Nobody was expecting it. @Nathaniel blow blew. ? pun intended.  I learnt a lot on just focusing on what God sends you to do, Ignoring the naysayers and critics and just following God.

Hallelujah challenge

For those in the Ministry, it shows how important it is to allow God lead us and how our gifts can make way for us. For me personally it is proof that the promises of God will always come to pass. I imagine that the success of the Hallelujah challenge may even have surprised Pastor Nathaniel himself.

Hallelujah somebody.

Ehen! So were you part of it? What was your experience? Did you attend the Hallelujah Festival. Pls gist us.

Omg!!!!!! Reading this honestly almost made me just tear up cause now I’m just missing the challenge so much???. Like the feeling of worshipping with the multitudes is unreal. The unity, not bothered by denomination. The testimonies, people giving thier life to God, the songs! Seeing your Instagram friends you never speak to say “Jesus is Lord”. Honestly, the challenge just showed God’s divine nature and how this generation is willing to know God. We just need to be led, to be shown who this God is and we will follow him. I can’t wait for more to follow! I see worship differently now. It’s a lifestyle indeed! ?

I miss it a lot too. It was a life changing experience, one I can’t ever forget. That feeling of connecting to fellow believers is priceless.
Exactly -anyone who calls this generation a godless one is soon wrong. This generation wants to know God and very willing to do so. Yes oh! We will follow him.
      Thanks Joan ???

    hallelujah somebody!!!!!!

Ha! in fact it was just overwhelming! the testimonies, the spirit of togetherness in unison of purpose, shunning denomination and physical barrier, lifting up holy hands and praising a god is simply transcending and beautiful.

    Psalms 133:1-3
[1](A Song of degrees of David.) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
    [2]It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
[3]As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

this scripture simply was fulfilled. aside the miracles that abound, hell was depopulated and the devil was helpless.

I had more than enough encounter myself. although most days I couldn’t connect but I was able to hold a one hour praise by myself.

it was a spiritually refreshing experience and I thought it will continue till the end of the year. it is a great movement that has ever happen in the country this year !

praise God to all the Hallelujians ??

Yes oh. Hallelujah somebody. I miss it already and hope there’s something like that soon. That unity of Purpose is indescribable.

I love the Bible verse you quoted. Especially the first one. How wonderful it is indeed for brethren to dwell in unity.

Well! The main purpose of the Hallelujah challenge was to praise God and that was certainly achieved.
      Thanks Immanuel.

Yes oh. Where has he been all my life? Lol. Isn’t it amazing that my spirit just clicked with him and now I follow him on Instagram and everything.
I think everything has its appointed time and God enabled this at the appropriate time. It’s amazing that even after that your comment I wasn’t still feeling him.
Now! Everything about him gets me excited. He is just so cool and humble and spirit filled and pragmatic. Plus the Rhema. That Hallelujah Challenge was a turning point for a variety of reasons.
Yay! I am happy too. And still excited.
